Happy New Year!! I can’t believe it has been over 2 years since my last post – how times flies. I don’t quite know what happened but my best guess is I just got caught up with life here in Paris. I am now back and hope you will enjoy my insights, experiences and life here in Paris.
Reflecting back on my posts, one of the things I noticed, for good or bad, is that they tended to be on the loooong side. This was primarily due to my sincerest desire to transport my readers to that time and place by giving them the most accurate description and thus experience as possible. However, I also think it was one of the reasons I stopped writing. The amount of time and energy spent producing one post was tremendous and I found myself not looking forward to the next one. So, I have decided to shift things a little moving forward. Instead of producing long and complex posts, I will now start to create what I am calling ‘micro-blogs’. Shorter and more to the point, I think this will allow me some freedom around my writing, not to mention taking up less of your valuable time. It will also give you a really good taste without a major commitment. And, if there seems to be a large demand for more on a specific topic, I will be sure to do a follow-up. As always, each micro-blog will include photographs because I love taking and sharing them.
I do hope you enjoy the new format – I’m very excited about it. I should have the first post up soon and as always, you will receive an e-mail from me only when a new post has gone live. Also, please share the blog with anyone you think would enjoy it and remember you can also follow me on Instagram where I post photos all the time. In the meantime I wish you all the very best for the New Year.
